This time, brings us a sweet recipe for Halloween: a great pumpkin flan with cinnamon. The pumpkin, in addition, is a food rich in vitamins and that, due to its texture and sweet taste, can become a dessert healthy and that children can enjoy.

Flan is a very popular and simple traditional dessert. This version incorporates pumpkin, which gives it a distinct sweet touch, and cinnamon to complement its flavor. A perfect dessert to top off the children's Halloween party. You dare?

  • 1 kg of pumpkin
  • 1 glass of water
  • 3 eggs
  • 350 gr. of sugar
  • 3 teaspoons ground cinnamon
  • 1 glass of milk
  • a pinch of salt
  • Candy to spread the mold

Tips: In the step-by-step of that recipe, we show you how to make the caramel.

1. Preheat the oven to 180º.

2. Prepare the mold and spread it with the caramel. For the caramel, put a cup of white sugar in a saucepan and bring it over low heat, always stirring, until it becomes a caramel.

3. Bring water to a boil. Meanwhile, peel the pumpkin and cut into squares of about 3 cm.

4. Boil the pumpkin pieces in the water for about 15 minutes. Remove from the heat, drain and let it warm up.

5. In a bowl, beat the eggs until frothy. Add the sugar, a pinch of salt, the cinnamon and the milk and mix well until smooth.

6. Crush the squash with a fork until it forms a pulp, and add to the previous mixture.

7. Pour into a mold already covered with caramel, and put in the oven for 30 minutes at 180º. Let cool and unmold. You can decorate the flan with drawings made with what is left of the caramel, on a baking sheet.
